Take The Guesswork Out Of Deep-Well Repairs

High resolution visual inspection of water wells, mineshafts, and bore-holes are now possible with the latest advancements in television equipment. We use the Laval/USC television system which provides sharp, clear pictures even where pictures were not possible before.

You now have a tool available that can show what has to be done and where to do it to maintain well production and shorten the down time during down-hole repairs.

Television surveys may be made in holes as small as two and one-half inches in diameter and depths of up to 2500 feet. A continuous picture of down-hole conditions is displayed on a video monitor as the cameras is lowered, allowing on the spot analysis. The survey can also be videotaped for later review or to provide a permanent record. An electronic counter displays the camera depth on the monitor screen to pinpoint problem areas.

GENERAL WELL INSPECTION
Television provides a means of recording casing conditions after well completion or any time the pump is pulled to record the water level, show screen location, and provide periodic checks of on corrosion. Surveys of uncased boreholes provide information on ground formation characteristics and show condition of hole walls

DETERMINE STRUCTURAL CONDITIONS
The location and extent of casing failures due to collapse or rupture can be determined to facilitate repair. The decision to abandon a well or to start repair operations no longer has to be based on guesswork

CORROSION - ENCRUSTATION STUDIES
Weld yield is highly dependent on screen or perforation conditions. Television provides a means of studying bacteria and carbonate buildup, sources of sand and gravel infiltration, and the effectiveness of "work over" techniques.

FISHING OPERATIONS
The position and location of debris , dropped tools, and broken pumps can be determined to aid in choosing the most effective fishing tool and method. Knowledge of the down-hole condition greatly reduces time spent on fishing operations.
